do i need to call china mobile to activate the prepaid gprs service to connect to the web? is it usable straight out of the package and after setting up the gprs settings in my phone? i will be using the prepaid sim card primarily to check emails and surf the web on my handphone. calls and sms will be very limited.

GPRS was actived. As to this card, daily plan 2 yuan / day was actived by default, that means in a day if using GPRS, 2 yuan basic fee charges for this day and 1 yuan / MB. So it will be more economic to call China Mobile to active monthly plan 5 yuan / 30 MB. This 30 MB only for usage inside Guangdong province, if outside Guangdong the rate is 1 yuan / MB.
